Our Future Talent Programmes are designed to empower the next generation to step up and help shape the future of food. Through hands-on learning, expert mentorship, and rotational experiences across the business, we create tailored career pathways that make an impact.

Te Ara Huri, our bicultural framework

Te Ara Huri is our pathway to developing Māori leadership and Māori voice across our organisation. It helps enrich our understanding and strengthen our connection with Te Ao Māori, the Māori world. Through Te Ara Huri we respect our unique Aotearoa New Zealand identity. Nau piki nau kake mai, join us on the journey to deepen our practice of manaakitanga, kotahitanga, and kaitiakitanga; demonstrating the richness of indigenous values, customs, and practices – acknowledging our intrinsic connection to our natural world – because culture strengthens our relationships with each other.

Growing our Māori leaders

Our Māori Leadership Programme pilots are pioneering development opportunities that recognise the value of lived experience and foster growth through a bicultural lens. Our Capable Iwi Māori programme pilot supports leaders in achieving a Bachelor of Applied Management, preparing them for senior and specialist roles, while our He Muka Tangata programme pilot builds leadership capability through the NZQA Level 3 New Zealand Certificate in Business. As initial pilots, both programmes are shaping new pathways for Māori leadership – empowering participants to reflect on their journey, lead with confidence, and create lasting impact within their whānau, workplaces, and communities.
