Our Silver Fern Farms Processing Site in Takapau employs 900+ Team Members at the height of the season, contributing significantly to employment in our local Central Hawkes Bay communities. The site is located 30 minutes north of Dannevirke, 50 minutes south of Hastings/Havelock North, and only 15 minutes from the affordable, whānau-friendly rural town of Waipukurau.

We currently have opportunities for Team Members to join our Cleaning & Sanitation team for our night shift across our different departments.
 

Te mahi, our working arrangements:

• Complete your on-the-job training and earn a minimum $28.12/hr plus extras.
• All work clothing and safety gear is provided.
• The hours of work generally fall between:

Secondary Butchery Department

-          Monday morning 2:00am – 6:00am

-          Tuesday to Friday 12:00am – 6:00am

-          Saturday 12:00am – 5:00am

Primary Butchery Department

-          Monday morning 2:00am – 5:00am

-          Monday to Friday morning 9:00pm – 5:00am

-          Friday evening to Saturday 9:00pm – 3:00am

Tertiary Butchery Department

-          Monday morning 2:00am – 6:00pm

-          Monday to Thursday 9:30pm – 6:00am

-          Friday 3:30pm – 7:30pm

• No experience? No problem, we provide all the training you need.
• You’re an active team member who attends work daily, can work closely with others, and brings a positive, hardworking attitude.
• Able to understand and follow health and safety, quality, and technical compliance requirements.
• Eligible to work in New Zealand.
• Must be 18 years or older to meet audit requirements.
• Able to pass our pre-employment medical checks, criminal convictions check, and physical fitness requirements.
