
Te Tūranga /About the role:
This role is ideal for a person who is passionate about training people to enable them to competently undertake their jobs safely and to meet our regulatory compliance obligations.
This role covers works with our people on the evening shift, Monday to Friday from 2.30pm- 11pm.
Our ideal candidate will be people-focused, an outstanding communicator, and enjoy assisting with various training programmes. You will be involved with onboarding and liaising with departmental Group Leaders and Management to facilitate on-job training.
Ideally, you will view training as a holistic experience where interaction and communication is equally important as knowing how to do the job. This role will ensure all site training is carefully managed, effective in its delivery and of the standard required to ensure Silver Fern Farms Te Aroha remains an employer of choice in the region. Ōu Pūkenga /About You:
- Experience in a training or learning & development
- Minimum of intermediate computer literacy in MS applications
- Ability to facilitate learning through a variety of delivery methods including classroom instruction, virtual training, on-the-job coaching
- Sound knowledge of the processing requirements of a modern food manufacturing processing plant (knowledge of meat processing will be an advantage)
- Ability to think on your feet and make sound operational decisions
- Ability to work collaboratively with staff across all levels of the business and playing a key role in streamlining processes and activities that support skills and technical development adapted to the business needs
